Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 31 August 2017 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

The members have agreed to the preparation of abridged accounts for this accounting period in accordance with Section 444(2A).

These accounts have been prepared in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

The directors have chosen to not file a copy of the company’s profit & loss account.

1. Accounting policies

These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

Turnover policy

Turnover represents net invoiced sales of goods, excluding value added tax.

Tangible fixed assets and depreciation policy

Depreciation has been computed to write off the cost of tangible fixed assets over their expected useful lives using the following rates:Plant and machinery – 25% per annum of written down value / 20% per annum of costFixtures and fittings – 25% per annum of written down valueMotor Vehicles - 25% per annum of written down value / 25% per annum of cost

Valuation and information policy

StocksStocks are valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value, after making due allowance for obsolete and slow-moving items.

Other accounting policies

Deferred taxDeferred tax is recognised in respect of all timings differences that have originated but not reversed at the balance sheet date.Hire purchase and leasing commitments Assets obtained under hire purchase contracts or finance leases are capitalised in the balance sheet. Those held under hire purchase contracts are depreciated over their estimated useful lives. Those held under finance leases are depreciated over their estimated useful lives or the lease term, whichever is the shorter. The interest element of these obligations is charged to the profit and loss account over the relevant period. The capital element of the future payments is treated as a liability.
